"Electric" Walter.
I knew Walter in Salzburg, back in the 1970's. He was thus named as he was continually adding speakers to our tiny transistor radios. There was already "Kapuziner Walter" (he had a room with the monks on Kapuzinerberg) in our crowd. We hung out in Club Rendezvous and drank endless cups of coffee at Cafe Arabia. He was the most gentle and thoughtful guy amongst our crowd of misfits. No one drank beer or wore lederhosen, but we constantly discussed how we could make the world a better. Walter had the dearest heart. We kept in occasional contact after I left Austria and I am the proud owner of one of his Gianni Stilleto CD's. I am truly saddened by the news of his passing. I hope it was a peaceful passing. I shall always remember him.
