We were friends from the moment that we met in 1996. His kindness, patience and willingness to share his fine wisdom was a hallmark of Reinhard. But, what struck me most was the twinkle in his eyes! It was a sign of his overflowing joy, in life, in his beautiful family, in nature, in physical activity, in laughter. We taught each other our Muttersprachen, and shared many jolly times together, while working hard. He taught me to ski properly, my son Gus to Schuplatten, and together with Edith, welcomed my girls Louize and Octavia into their warm home. The loss of such a huge character in the lives of Edith, Harald, Katja and their families will be irreplaceable.
We send our love and condolences to them and I pray for the repose of my friend who was a saint, but did not admit it.
