Dear Christoph
It was with a heavy heart that I read the sad news of Ingrid's loss.
I often thought of Ingrid and was, in fact, intending to send her a note with greetings and rememberances.
Although we never met in person, I really loved our sense of understanding and the bright thread of goodwill and esteem that connected us.
I am certain of her generous and loving heart, and that she was, without a doubt, a woman of principle, care and concern, not just for her loved ones but also for many others. And of course, that she was so nourished by and found joy in the beauty of Nature and in the times you shared together.
I believe that once we have loved so truly, we are never without the light of that love and that, in such dark times, it is the love we have lived and shared that acts as a compass point to sustain and guide us.
I shall join you from my hillside, for a quiet contemplation and remembrance on Friday and send everyone my sincere condolences
